Airman 1st Class Eddel Alamos has been a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard on Otis Air National Guard Base for the past year. He is currently attached to the 102nd Mission Support Group as a knowledge operations management apprentice.

When asked why he joined the Air National Guard, Alamos said, "I've always wanted to be in the Air Force. [The Air National Guard] gives me time to go to school and be in the Air Force at the same time."

When not working as a drill status Guardsman, Alamos attends the University of Massachusetts at Boston studying for his Bachelors of Science in Nursing with a goal of attending medical school.

"I would like to be a doctor; that is my ultimate goal," Alamos said.

Alamos was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but grew up and went to school in Albuquerque, N.M. He moved to Massachusetts last year to be on his own and earn his college degree.

In his free time, Alamos enjoys boxing, drawing, and hanging out with friends and a little known fact about him is that English is not his first language, but rather Spanish.
