CMSgt Shane P. McGuire is the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 102d Intelligence Wing, Otis Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. As the Command Chief, he is the senior enlisted advisor to the commander on all matters affecting the readiness, training, professional development, and effective utilization of more than 1,200 enlisted force personnel. Additionally, he is responsible for coordinating with staff, commanders, and senior personnel on administration and implementation of command policy.
CMSgt McGuire enlisted in the United States Air Force and the Massachusetts Air National Guard in February 1995. He completed basic training followed by the Aircraft Fuel Systems Apprentice course, which he graduated in November 1995. He began his career as an aircraft maintainer at Otis Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts and worked as both an Aircraft Fuel Systems Technician and an Aircraft Engine Technician from 1995 through 2008. In 2008, CMSgt McGuire retrained into the intelligence career field and graduated the Imagery Analysis Apprentice Course in August 2008. From 2008 to 2012, he spearheaded the standup of the Standardization and Evaluations function for 102d Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group. In 2012, CMSgt McGuire transitioned to the 101st Intelligence Squadron as a Section Chief. In 2014, he was selected as a Flight Chief within the 101st Intelligence Squadron. In April 2018, CMSgt McGuire was selected as the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 101st Intelligence Squadron. Prior to assuming his current position, he was the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 102d Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group.
