102 SFS Airmen respond to marathon bombings
The 18-man team of 102nd Security Forces Airmen, who reported for their detail for the Boston Marathon at 5 a.m. on April 15, found themselves in the midst of an emergency response effort later that afternoon after two bombs were detonated near the finish line of the marathon, where three lives were lost and more than 180 injured.
