Col Kevin L. Archer is Commander, 102d Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, 102d Intelligence Wing, Joint Base Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He leads over 400 Airmen working 24/7 to process information, analyze it, and disseminate the finished intelligence to decision makers at all levels, from strategic leaders to tactical teams in the field. The group also maintains, provides security, and ensures network connectivity for equipment worth over $60M in its $20M facility, for this high tempo, no-fail mission.
Col Archer enlisted in the Air Force in 1988 and served as a life support technician and First Sergeant before earning a commission in 2006 from the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson ANG Base, Tenn. Col Archer’s assignments span the regular Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and the Air National Guard. In his civilian capacity, he has over 20 years of experience as a software developer and systems engineer.
Col Archer is a Joint Qualified Officer and served as the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Joint Intelligence Directorate’s Analysis and Governance Branch Chief. Col Archer routinely provided subject matter expertise and relevant threat intelligence to the Chief, National Guard Bureau and other key NGB Joint Staff senior leaders. Prior to his current position, Col Archer was the Commander, 203d Intelligence Squadron, Joint Base Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
