Colonel Virginia I. Gaglio is the Commander of the 102nd Intelligence Wing, Otis Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. She leads more than 1,300 military and civilian personnel who ensure the wing's ability to respond to peacetime contingencies while maintaining preparedness to accomplish its wartime missions of intelligence, cyber intelligence, cyber engineering and installation, along with trained and experienced expeditionary combat support and homeland medical and security forces. She is formerly crew qualified as a Mission Operations Commander (MOC) for the RQ-1/MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper.
Colonel Gaglio is also assigned as a member of the Joint Oversight Group for Joint Base Cape Cod. She oversees strategic management and day-to-day base operating support of JBCC working with commands from the Army National Guard's Camp Edwards, U.S. Coast Guard's Cape Cod Air Station and Base Cape Cod and the U.S. Air Force's 6th Space Warning Squadron in developing a unified plan and identifying opportunities for development of future business plans with the community, renewable energy opportunities and military efficiencies among the various tenant organizations.
Colonel Gaglio has served in Operations NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to her current assignment, she was the vice commander of the 102nd Intelligence Wing.
