102nd Security Forces Squadron returns from Iraq

FALMOUTH, Mass. - Chief Master Sgt. Wayne Raymondo, and his wife, Leigh, were honored at a welcome home ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011. The 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard honored 42 airmen from the 102nd Security Forces Squadron upon their return home from their deployment to Iraq. Raymondo, Superintendent of the 102nd SFS, received mobilization orders last August and was deployed to Iraq for six-months in support of Operation New Dawn. Their primary responsibilities were to provide security and air base defense operations. This was the largest number of 102nd SFS Airmen to deploy at the same time since Sept. 11, 2001.
